About Us
We are a boutique electronic systems integration company operating from Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. With over 20 years’ industry experience in Australia and Europe, we have private and business clients across QLD, NSW and overseas.
We work with homes, businesses, architects, designers and contractors to create beautiful, intuitive and simple electronic solutions for modern living and working. We design, install and support fantastic smart home systems from single rooms to whole buildings; and for single residences, multi-dwelling developments and commercial premises.
We provide a wide range of services to help our clients take control of their technology, from IT support for all computer problems, to amazing media rooms and A/V systems, to centralised control of lighting, climate and security. If you are building or renovating your home, we can help you at all stages of your project from initial specification to supporting the finished system and every stage in between. We provide consultation, specification and CAD design for you and your build team, working closely with architects, specifiers, contractors and other AV integrators to make sure the technology in your home is useful and enjoyed.
We take great pride in crafting beautiful work that is worthy of your dream home; delivering smart home solutions that are functional, elegant and sculptural. Cable spaghetti need not be tolerated. We also work with other AV installers and integrators, with IP networks support and bespoke programming and supply of Crestron, RTI and Savant control systems.
Finally, we can support you, your family and your colleagues when you’re using your technology so that your user experience is easy, intuitive and productive.
Martin Banks
As founder and director of Bluetone, I look after all design, installation, programming, documentation and support services. Whatever the scale of the project, my clients can expect the same artisan and personal approach to my work.
I started Bluetone in Australia in 2010 after learning my trade for several years with a large, world-renowned company in the UK. Prior to this I studied Design at the University of London, and gained early experience with lighting design and public space art/electronics installations.
In a highly technical industry, I bring to the mix an artistic background which is imperative to the solutions I deliver and which sets me apart from other custom electronics integrators. I have been breaking (and fixing) computers since 1983, drawing pictures even before then, and doing both ever since.
